All workshops are taught by industry professionals, in a studio environment, that embodies the same results-based commitment as our Full Time programs. In response to the expanding interest in BC’s dynamic film industry, this course has been developed as an introductory awareness and education program for people wanting to work within the sector. Specifically, it is designated to provide you with insight into how the industry works, encourage self-awareness for suitability, outline the screening process for entry-level positions, provide functional skills, and improve safety awareness. Please note that this course is offered as an educational tool and does not guarantee employment.
You will receive information on the structure of the industry, the stages of production, the diverse jobs within the industry, training and certification, set terminology, behaviour on the set, code of conduct, communication skills, basic safety, and BC contact information. WHMIS training is included. Most of the BC Film labour organizations now require completion of this course as a prerequisite for work.

Consolidate the fundamentals of Acting for the Camera in this one week Summer Intensive. Led by top teen acting coach, Mattie Shisko, you will delve into a week of Improvisation, Camera Styles, Audition and Acting technique while working on TV Commercials and Film and Television scripts.
